Several notable films hit screens on May 22, including a romance starring Lakshya and Ananya Panday, an action-period film with Rashmika Mandanna, and a biography starring Unni Mukundan. The romantic drama "Tera Yaar Hoon Main", however, was pushed from May 22 to July 31.

At the 2026 box office, films like "Dhurandhar: The Revenge", "Border 2", and "Bhooth Bangla" have made a splash. Although "Border 2" released in January and "Bhooth Bangla" in April, they remain among the year's top earners.
