Cast details

Pedro Pascal returns as Din Djarin (the Mandalorian). He is joined by "Alien" star Sigourney Weaver and "The Bear" actor Jeremy Allen White. Grogu (Baby Yoda) remains the franchise's most beloved character.

The plot

Din Djarin and Grogu are enlisted by the New Republic to rescue Rotta the Hutt. In the timeline, the story sits between "Return of the Jedi" and "The Force Awakens".

The film was shot with IMAX's specialty cameras, making it ideal for premium large-format screens. In India, it releases across 1,500+ screens including IMAX and 3D.

Soundtrack also drops

Ludwig Göransson's soundtrack releases digitally on May 15 from Walt Disney Records. Göransson previously composed for "The Mandalorian" series.

The future of the franchise

"The Mandalorian and Grogu" is part of Disney's Star Wars revival. A "New Jedi Order" film is planned for 2027 and an Ahsoka Tano theatrical film for 2028.
