New Delhi, May 12. Chinese smartphone maker Vivo on Monday launched its new flagship X300 Ultra in India. The sole 16GB+512GB variant is priced at ₹1,59,999.

Processor and performance

The phone runs Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with Vivo's in-house Pro Imaging Chip VS1+. This combination is tuned for image processing and low-light photography.

Triple Zeiss cameras

The triple-camera system covers 14mm, 35mm, and 85mm focal lengths. The main rear sensor is 50MP, the ultra-wide also 50MP, and the telephoto a massive 200MP — Vivo's most powerful telephoto ever. It also features Zeiss T* coating and Zeiss Blur modes.

Display and battery

The 6.82-inch 2K Zeiss Master Color OLED display has a 120Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits peak brightness. The 6,600 mAh battery supports 100W wired and 40W wireless charging.

Colours and bundles

Available in Eclipse Black and Victory Green. The "Ultra Collector Edition" bundle with the Extender Lens and Imaging Kit is priced at ₹1,95,997.

Vivo's India strategy

The X300 Ultra is the pinnacle of Vivo's "professional imaging" approach. The brand is squarely targeting Apple and Samsung in India's premium tier. Counterpoint Research data shows Vivo holds 18% share in India's premium segment (₹50,000+).

Competition

The X300 Ultra goes head-to-head with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (₹1,29,999) and iPhone 16 Pro Max (₹1,44,900). The higher price, Vivo argues, is justified by imaging capabilities.
