Raipur, May 10. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) edged Mumbai Indians by 2 wickets on the final ball in a heart-stopping finish on Sunday night.

The final-over drama

RCB needed 17 off the last over. Dinesh Karthik plundered a boundary and two singles off the first three balls. A two off the fifth and Nicholas Pooran's boundary off the final ball completed the chase. Mumbai's Jasprit Bumrah bowled the final over.

Top of the table

The win lifted RCB to the top of the table with 14 points from 11 matches and a net run rate of +1.103. Sunrisers Hyderabad are also on 14 points but second with NRR +0.737.

Kohli's second consecutive golden duck

Virat Kohli was trapped lbw by Deepak Chahar off the very first ball — his second consecutive golden duck in IPL 2026. "A couple of bad matches happen. I'll bounce back next game," Kohli said after the match.

Mumbai's innings

Mumbai Indians batted first and put up 192/6, with Suryakumar Yadav scoring 78 off 42 and Tilak Varma 56 off 34. RCB chased it down to 194/8 off the final delivery.

What's next

RCB now meet Chennai Super Kings in their final league fixture. The playoffs are scheduled for May 26-29 with the final on May 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. RCB are eyeing their first IPL title.
