Lakme Fashion Week 2026 closes in Mumbai with Pero's Aneeth Arora finale

Mumbai. Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI 2026 was held from March 19-22 at Mumbai's Jio World Convention Centre — India's largest annual fashion industry event.

"Pero" closes the grand finale

Aneeth Arora of label "Pero" closed the event as Grand Finale designer. Actor Aneet Padda walked as showstopper in a blue-and-white ensemble. Arora's collection focused on handcrafted Indian textiles and indigenous artisanship — her signature aesthetic.

Siddharth on day one

Day 1 opened with actor Siddharth as showstopper for Vivek Karunakaran's South Indian-inspired collection. The collection drew clearly on Chettinad saree motifs and temple architecture.

Disha Patani's glamour

Disha Patani walked on Day 3 as the face of Amit Aggarwal's "Origin" collection. The collection featured an unusual blend of upcycled fabrics and futuristic silhouettes.

Other big designers

Tarun Tahiliani, Manish Malhotra, Anita Dongre, and Rahul Mishra also presented their collections. The four-day event featured over 100 shows by more than 80 designers.

Emphasis on sustainability

This edition's overarching theme was "sustainable fashion". Over 70% of participating designers used organic fabrics, recycled fibres, or natural dyes.

What's next

The Phygital Retail Convention 2026 is scheduled for May 13-14 at the same venue, focused on retail-tech integration. E-commerce majors Flipkart, Myntra, and Nykaa will participate.
